Weekend Happenings

Before I go into anything else, I just want to say that our thoughts and prayers are with everyone being affected by Storm Sandy.  I hope everyone is safe and sound...

It's always fun to be around little ones during holidays because everything is so footloose and fancy free (c:

My magpie costume (don't worry, nobody knew what I was...) and the birthday girl...yup, that's right, four year-old in the *HOUSE*! 

We had a very good birthday weekend getting spoiled rotten.

Now mama is ready for a break...oh wait, Halloween isn't actually until Wednesday. 

Phooey.

Well, it's a darn good thing I really love this holiday or I might be tempted to pretend it's already over. But since I have a kid in school now, that wouldn't fly either.

Double phooey.

By the way, don't you just love the word "phooey"???

In the Bag

So we all know that I fell down on the job and just didn't bother posting anything yesterday, so I'll just avoid that awkward conversation about, m'kay? Ha!

I'm planning that someday when I don't have to constantly carry snacks/drinks/dinosaurs in my purse that I will have a nice handbag. 

I know, I know...there are a bunch of you out there that just power through and somehow manage to keep your designer babies unscathed by little peeps, but I tried it. It didn't work.

So instead of dooming another gorgeous bag to that fate, I'll just drool over the ones that I will someday own. Y'know, the day when the hubster says "Yeah sure, honey, you totally deserve to go and buy a gorgeous handbag. Treat yourself". 

Said no husband. EVER. (c; 

But seriously, these are some absolutely drool worthy bags...that Marc Jacobs bag is a looooooong time fave of mine, I'm still scheming to make her mine!

Has anyone else noticed that the cap toe shoe is *EVERYWHERE*???

At first, I thought I was just noticing it because I really liked it, but no! It's really just EVERYWHERE!

I'm happy as a clam because that means I can get my fix of capped toe goodness pretty much wherever. 

And that, my friends, is music to my ears...or eyes...or closet...whatev.

I've been busy gathering up all the good deals I've been finding during all the holiday sales, and I think I got some pretty fun stuff...

But incidentally, not until after my other little baby (my three year-old) got ahold of it and shattered the back...cue complete mommy meltdown...THANK GOODNESS for the Apple Genius Bar, it's good as new (after $30 to replace the back).
