Carleton Varney

Designer Spotlight on Mr. Carleton Varney.

How can you look at the cover of his book and not want to know more about him???

Bring it on, Mr. Color.

There is an entire article on Mr. Varney in House Beautiful that you can check out, but these are a few of the gems that I thought were particularly lovely ( I just feel lady-like when talking about a dude that wears ascots...):

 Crushing on Carleton? You betcha.

Love a man who's not afraid of color. Or an ascot. Ha!

I'm really digging the room with the corn flakes box. I see it as art. So playful .

Oh I've seen most of these pics many times before, and I love them sooo much, but I never knew who designed any of them, so thank you so much for the "introduction"!

PS: I really love your blog, and added it to my blogroll ;-)

Carlton has such a fun style! Love his use of color and pattern, he trained with one of the best, Dorothy Draper.

My design class got to meet him in New York when we were there on our annual design trip one year, such a great experience!
