Antique Roadshow, here I come!

I *LOVE* to find cool vintage stuff...

it makes me feel like Indiana Jones...minus the whip(c:

Darn it.
(Love me some Harrison Ford...and this is one of the best scenes *EVER*)

*Ahem* back to the subject at hand...

So I was really excited to find these little pieces of lovely at an estate sale this weekend:

(Pay no attention to the ugly date stamp in the corner...stupid technology)

Okay, so I know one of them is an ashtray, but could you have passed these babies up???

I definitely couldn't, especially at $5 for both!

I am *convinced* that they will add glamor and fabulousness to where ever they sit...most likely atop my dresser to hold my baubles. (c:

I actually tried to see if I could look up anything on them, but I can't find much...anybody out there an antiques guru???

Any suggestions on finding out background on things like this?

Regardless, I'm pretty pleased with myself. (c:

Now I just need to find myself a whip...

...don't read too much in to that.

And today the Roomspiration party continues!
Roomspiration

Bring your best over to Miss Shelli at A la Mode and while you're there you can gawk at her *amazing* nursery and link up yours!!!

I dont think i would have noticed that one was an ashtray (that must have been one chic smoker). I love the ashtray the most but they are both gorgeous! Nice finds!

Great bauble holder and only $5!?!?!? SO many of my blogger friends have the knack for finding the most amazing things at thrift stores and what not, but everything I spy in the city is incredibly expensive. I need some thrift store tips!

Aubrey, what a great find! I'm kind of obsessed with table lighters myself, but then I get my children asking why we have these lighters, lol.

you crack my s**t up! seriously. i might actually start dressing like that with a whip to go to yard sales- get away from that dresser, i'm buyin' it! that would work so well!
and cool finds! you could email pictures in to country living- they always do that "what it's worth" section.

Great finds! For five bucks, I'd probably buy them even if they were ugly. But they're not, so you came up.

Whhhaaaappoosh. That's the sound of my whip. Ha!
