Ha! I tricked you! Probably because it's been a *VERY* long time since I talked about interiors on this blog...which is a shame really considering I love it so much and I'm pretty sure that was kinda the purpose of starting this blog originally...

Anywho, I have just been so giddy over all the unbelievably excellent patterns getting all moshed together and looking gorgeous. Nothing like a good pattern-kick-to-the-face, hmm? 

Definitely a dope combo going on here, especially with the portrait goodness.

What's Cookin'?

I jumped on House Beautiful's site yesterday to catch up on my daily dose of pretties when I see the title "Kitchen of the Year".

It's catchy, don't you think? 

I really can't resist a fabulous kitchen...and I fully intend to have a ridiculously drool-worthy one of my own someday. Dream big, right?

So this is House Beautiful's 2012 Kitchen of the Year by Mick De Giulio...

I'm *completely* sold on all the concepts (butler's pantry, set up, outdoor fabulousness)...but I'm not bowled over by the design. Oh GAWSH. I've become a design snob, haven't I???

I need to go watch some Blue Collar Comedy Tour or something and get that in check (c;

I just love it when people aren't afraid to embrace color and pattern...especially a LOT of color and pattern (c:

On the other hand, I am pretty creeped out by people who do the awkwardly long embrace...or handshakes...*creeped out shivers*

But the owner of this house, Courtney Haas, has never met me (most likely never will) and so the likelihood of me getting an awkwardly long hug/handshake from her are slim to none...so I will just continue to love her house in the most awkwardly creepy and stalker-like manner. (c:
