Grow up (a little).

So this is a bizarre topic for the blog...well, at least I think it's a little bizarre...but if the blog isn't for over-sharing, then what is it for, right??? (c;

Naw, I don't think this is *that* bad.

I'm just thinking that now that I'm in my thirties, I should be more of a grown up. Y'know, responsible and mature.

And I firmly believe that all mature and stylish women should have a signature scent. Yep. I'm talking perfume, people! See, this isn't going to be so bad (c:

The other day I was flipping through my new InStyle mag, and I was totally enamored with the lovely smell coming from my magazine (isn't that half the reason you read them? They smell like heaven (c:).

This particular smell was coming from Versace's new scent, Bright Crystal:

And look, it even comes in a pretty bottle {hearts and sighing}

But I've also been told that Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb is fabulous as well:

Also some very pretty packages (c: You know I'm a sucker for that bright pink!

And no roundup of great perfume bottles would be complete without Kate Spade's Twirl:

So darling...

Also fabulous (looking)...

Coach

But I'm curious to know, what's your signature scent??? This is a really tough thing to hash out! Maybe I'll just go with Chanel and call it a day???

Not really, I've smelled that one and let's just say that it's "not me". (c;

I use a Coach sent called Poppy, but I had the same magazine thing happen to me with Pure by DKNY. I think as women it's important to have an everyday scent and then a nighttime scent (for date nites and stuff).

I've often thought the same thing about need a signature scent but the problem is that I am super sensitive to smell. I always get headaches! I keep my nose out for something soft and subtle.

I've worn Cool Water since I was in high school - I was in a restaurant and a guy walked by me and put his hand on my shoulder and said my name - I hadnt seen him in years but he knew it was me by the way i smelled ... I never thought i wore too much perfume ... until that moment. When I turned around and saw who it was - I was pleasantly surprised, but I made the comment - oh wow - i must wear way too much perfume... he said no but he always knew who it was that smelled like Cool Water ... so I still wear it and its 10+ years later. It must be my signature sent.

I love Marc Jacobs...gardenia. Actually I need more of it, I'm totally out. But that's my favorite.

I actually LOVE Vera Wang Princess. I am not a huge fan of super perfumy scents and this one smells fresh and nice without being overpowering or too young/immature of a scent. My husband loves it too!

I tend to switch out scents. I'll stick to one for a couple of years and then want something different. I'm currently rocking out YSL, but I'm at the end of the bottle and looking for a new one. so you'll find me overdosing on perfumes scents at saks soon. xo

I tend to switch around a bit, but I love this one at Anthro: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/79716.jsp?color=053 or this one: http://www.fresh.com/fragrance/fragrance-citron-de-vigne/citron-de-vigne-eau-de-parfum-1oz.

I've tried Chanel a few times and it is just too grown up for me :) I use a few different ones (mostly floral) but my favourite is Jadore by Dior!

I thought turning 30 would make me grow up. Now I'm telling myself once I have kids I will grow up. :)

I have Miss Dior and I love her. At least I can smell grown up.
