Guest Post: Things That Sparkle!!!

Things That Sparkle is definitely one of my daily reads and fast becoming one of my favorites! Alex is so sweet and her blog is always full of eye candy of the *BEST* kind! She is also can design like nobody's business...did you catch her girls night out Valentine's table? So cute.

So why am I still blabbing??? Take it away, Alex!

Thanks so much for having me over here Aubrey! Everyone has their own little things that make their house a home, so I am excited to share mine. Hope you all enjoy!
This chair originally belonged to my grandparents, and I had it reupholstered last year. Having pieces with history are really important to me.
A picture wall in my house reminds me every time I walk past it, of amazing memories and everyone that I love in my life.
My boyfriend and I moved in together last year, and having him here makes this house a home. We have made such a fun life together.
To me, having outdoor space is the end all be all. It is what totally sold me on my condo. My roof deck is absolute perfection to me.
My puppy son, Maverick makes my house a home! He has the perfect little face to greet you at the door.

I'm ready to go relax on that deck...and how sweet is that little puppy face?!? (c:

Thanks for sharing with us Alex!!!

And make sure you go check out her own blog full of sparklies...

And come back tomorrow for the fantastic and sweet Natalie from Designer Bags and Dirty Diapers!!!

And a *HUGE* thank you to Ashly over at Moon Walk for featuring my chair makeover!!! Go over and check it out! Dang me for being out of town when she posted it on Friday!

I agree, your roof deck is absolutely perfect! It can serve as an extension of your living room, where you can entertain your friends. It is also a perfect spot for relaxation at night, where you can drink wine or champagne with your family members. You can also convert it into a mini garden; you can place some live or artificial plants on it.

I agree with Eugene’s idea. You can convert this stunning roof deck into a mini garden, where you can nurture plants and even place an aquarium with ornamental fish. Aside from this, it can also be a perfect spot for romantic dinners and gatherings. This can be also a good venue for parties like roof parties.

Well, your roof deck looks cozy to me. I would love to hang out in a place like this. I can read a book there and finish it in one sitting. That would be awesome! :D Otherwise, spending some leisure time there with a friend or a loved one would be a good alternative.

What a handsome roof deck! The furniture matches the color of the shingles. You definitely have an eye for good interior design! By the way, always be on the look out for rain, since it might dampen or spoil your beautiful couch. :)

Aaah! I just love your dog’s picture. Isn’t he just adorable and sweet?! ;) I love your roof deck as well. These past few days, I’ve been looking for wonderful pictures of roof decks online. I’ve been trying to get an idea on what my roof deck would look like should I remodel.

Whew! This is a great way of maximizing every space in the house. Instead of having a plain roof, turning it into a roof deck where you can relax and chat with some friends is a very smart and practical move. Cheers for a job well done!
