Friday's Fancies: Transition Time!

I would like to thank Mindy Kaling for my new mantra until this kiddo decides to show up:

This is pretty much me at this point (c;

However, the kids are still for reals psyched, as evidenced by their crazy poses on our weekend getaway over Labor Day:

We were in cooler temperatures for 2 and a half *blissful* days and let me tell you, I'm just *SO* ready for fall now!

Unfortunately, it's not as ready for the Phoenix area. *BOOOOOOO!!!*

So we're gonna cook up some fashion that can carry us through this messy little "transition" phase! 

LOVE these new sweatshirts from Old Navy, really light-weight and adorable...they will definitely see every statement necklace I own this Fall!

You could totally do this same outfit with shorts and still be pretty summery...I just need those boots to find their way into my closet...push present??? (c;

Friday's Fancies: Labor Day!!!

There's just something about a holiday weekend, isn't there?

We are actually going to *DO* something for this Labor Day weekend and I'm thrilled that it includes heading to some cooler weather, *SCORE*!!!

And it's supposed to rain a bit, but that doesn't bother me because it won't be 100+ degrees...only the pregnant woman could be happy about a cold rainy weekend (c;

Less than 60...

I don't know what it is, but something about back to school time just makes me want to shop like crazy (okay, fine. I want to shop like crazy ALL the time, but this makes me somehow feel like it's okay (c;).

Maybe it's because it was always time for the new fall wardrobe for school or maybe it's all the great sales that go on, but my lust list is getting pretty full:

Dress * Moccs * Blanket * Bows

I can't even believe that we've got less than 60 days until this little one makes her appearance...daaaaaaang...it's time to get a move on! On what??? I dunno, but I'm sure I need to get something done before she's here...like hoard sleeping hours like a crazypants (c;

Friday's Fancies: Around Town & Around Here, too

Hellooooooo, from the *laziest* blogger EVER.

I know, that's not a very nice thing to say, but darn it, lately it's just a fact. I've seriously thought about throwing in the towel, but the truth is that I can't stand to part with it and with my bloggy friends. I have no idea what will become of ATBAB in the future, but hopefully by the time I figure that out, peeps will still be around to see it (c;

We got to see out little gal this week and darn it if she was completely uncooperative for the picture! Smashing your face into the side of my belly??? Really??? This attitude better shape up, young lady! (c;

32 weeks and feeling super full of baby...so it's a shame I have *EIGHT* weeks to go...(c:

I tell you what though, I have been ridiculously grateful for *DRESSES* this summer...they are comfy all the time, no matter how I sit or how hot it gets, still hands down the most comfortable thing to wear.

If I actually felt like getting all dolled up (which, let's face it, is a rarity when you feel huge and less than cute!) I may or may not be seen wearing something akin to this cute ensemble running about town:

I definitely need those flats for now...and for fall...and forever (c: This Bianca Tassel necklace is hands down my favorite necklace right now, I kinda want to wear it every day, but that would be a little crazy, right? Who am I kidding? I'm totally fine with crazy.

Hopefully, we get to relax a wee bit and have a bunch of fun this weekend, 'cause MAN, it's hard to get back into the routine of school! And it's not even me in school!

What we're up to and Disney's Planes Movie Review!

Oh Friday, how good you look! It's been forever! Like 6 days...(c;

So little man had his first day of 1st grade and guess what???

I didn't even cry! I was so proud of my overly-emotional preggo self. And he still holds my hand as we walk to school {heart that}.

And while the brother is away, the sister will play! This was the catch of the week: A baby gecko.

She was so proud (c:

And now a little word about movies...

So are you thinkin' of going to see Disney's 'Planes' this weekend???

I would advise against it.

I honestly wanted to love this one *SO* bad, I really did! I wanted it to be 'Cars' with planes, one that my kiddos would be entertained with over and over and that I actually wouldn't mind sitting down to myself. 

Not the case.

I really thought that having funny man Dane Cook as the lead voice would make this totally hilarious...meh...it was okaaaaaaay...but the characters in this one just aren't nearly as funny and loveable.

I took my 4 (almost 5) year-old with me to this one and about half way through, she was begging me to leave. *sigh* I have to admit that I thought about it.

I think that a lot of kiddos will be entertained because it still has a good story behind it and hey, it's got PLANES, right? But I would save this one for the dollar theater, my friends. Sorry )c:

Inspirational Monday

So school starts on Wednesday for my little man.

Whaaaaaaa???

How did that happen??? It's still hot out, which means it's still summer, which means no school, right???

I am, however, pretty proud that I made it all the way through the summer and actually *did* fun stuff with the kiddos, gold star!

This was a good reminder of why I tried not to park them in front of the TV all summer (c;

I've been feeling so tired lately (hmmm, I wonder why??? Oh wait, I'm 7 months pregnant.) and then I don't get everything done that I want to and then I'm frustrated and grumpy.

AKA: I've been kind of frustrated and grumpy.

For the Birds

Have you ever passed on something and then never stopped thinking about it???

Last year I found this dress for a ridiculously good deal and it fit like a dream:

I don't know what I was thinking, I'm still kicking myself!

Passing up stuff is for the birds.

 Psssh.

I think that's why I have an obsession with finding a bird print dress now (or at least that's what I keep telling myself!).
