Who the heck is John Carter???

This is going to be a interesting post for me...a movie review!

What the...?!?!?

I know, but a blogger friend got me in touch with the Disney people and I had the oh-so-awesome opportunity to go to the press release screening of the new Disney movie John Carter!

I did *NOT* have high hopes for this movie because all I knew what that it was Sci-Fi about some guy who goes to fight in a war on Mars.

Not exactly Jane Austen material here, peeps.

But hey, it was a free movie and I got to look cute and take out the hubby (c:

I thought you guys might like to see how much I'm enjoying my Jason Wu for Target shirt (c:

It was pretty awesome to get to sit in the "reserved" press seats, too...I couldn't stop giggling about the fact that I was being called "press" (c:

The long and short of it is: GO!!!!

The guy that wrote the books for John Carter, Edgar Rice Burroughs, is the same guy that wrote the books that inspired Star Wars and Tarzan. Dude has some writing *SKILLZ* (and yes, that is with a "z").

I'm a crazy big Star Wars fan (shocker, right?) and this movie could be the 7th Star Wars...witty characters, great story line, and lots of action.

Not to mention some pretty darn impressive 3D effects. *Seriously cool*

And let's be honest, does Disney really ever do anything awful??? Not likely.

Also not awful to look at is the character of John Carter (Taylor Kitch, of X-men Origins and Friday Night Lights fame) is pretty darn cute:

As is the Martian princess love interest (in case you need to convince your man to go (c:)

And if you want to take kiddos to see this movie, Geek Dad had a *spot on* review of the movie!

In short, as long as they are a little older (like 8 and up), they are going to *LOVE* the movie.

So if you want something fun to do tonight, you can go hit up the movies with a crowd pleaser...

And now you can't say that I didn't ever give you any useful information on this blog! (c:

Enchanted, I'm sure...

Anyone out there watch TV?

Yeah, I didn't think so. (c:

I have an unhealthy obsession with a few of my favorite TV shows, namely White Collar, Grimm, and Once Upon a Time.

All of them are rad shows that I thoroughly enjoy, especially because they star these guys:

Don't tell my husband that (hehehe).

But can we just talk about the Evil Queen's office in Once Upon A Time???

It's probably one of my favorite TV rooms EVER:

That last shot has the show's set designer, Mark Lane, sitting on a gorgeous sofa that cost...*wait for it*...$18,000!!!

GAH! It must be filled with the down from the golden goose!

Regardless, that black and white color scheme with the birch tree wall paper is GENIUS.

I will work there *anytime*...Evil Queen, you just give me a ring, m'kay?
So what about you? Any shows you're obsessing over?

And if you say "Downton Abbey", I'm going to have to unfriend you on FB.

I'm just kiddin'...I just haven't had time to become obsessed yet...don't worry, it'll happen (c:

Sunshine

It's getting closer to Easter and that makes me start thinking *DECORATIONS*! (c:

And one of my favorite Easter decorations is Daffodils...they are like sunshine in a flower...

Y'all already know I love bright colors and these some of the brightest around...and don't they just look smashing???

Are you already thinking about Easter or am I just a crazy holiday decorating fiend? (c;

Zoo...

Good morning, all!

Please excuse the lack of a *real* post today, we are taking a family day...betcha can't guess where we're headed (c;

Hope you're taking advantage of this Monday, too! And I don't mean that like you think I mean that (however you think I meant it!). Confused? Me too. (c:

Like Shoes??? Me too.

So I usually don't pay much attention to my Living Social emails, but today I did and the shoe addict in me is *SO* happy that I did!

First off, it introduced me to Shoe Privee which has all sorts of fabulous shoes like these for fantastic prices:

And even better...the Living Social deal is for $40 to spend for $20 which almost all of their shoes are $39.99.

Brilliant.

I can definitely do $20 for a fab new pair of shoes, you should treat yourself, too!!!

And tell me which ones you are getting (c;

And no, I'm not getting compensated for this by Shoe Privee, I freakin' WISH!!!

Tangerine Tango

Oh what a beautiful morning, Oh what a beautiful day!

Yes, I am quoting musicals today...it might have something to do with the impromptu attending of this fabulous event yesterday:

Last minute I got to run out (literally!) and see this play...if you haven't had the chance, put it on your bucket list, it's every bit as good as everyone says it is. And that's sayin' something (c:

I have been dying to incorporate a tribal/navajo print into my wardrobe and so for Friday's Fancies today, I jumped at the chance to do it with TANGERINE...

I love me some brights, don't I? Orange/tangerine looks atrocious by my face, so I figured I would skip the top and go straight for the accessories...that clutch is AMAZING. WANT. NEED.

Tangerine Tango

I honestly don't really know why I like that clutch so much, but I just have to say *DROOL*.

Happy Friday all you culture lovin' lovelies...go out and listen to a musical, it does the soul some good (c:
