Anybody else rather partial to that new Eric Church song???

Love me some rockin' country...however the "creepin" that he's singing about isn't the creepin' that I'm talking about.

I'm talking about full on being crazypants obsessed with my new fashion idol...have you met Rachel of Pink Peonies?

Of course you have because that gal has every amazing bag under the sun, every drool worthy bauble, and *EVERY* piece of J Crew awesomeness ever made. EVER.

Weekend Happenings

Before I go into anything else, I just want to say that our thoughts and prayers are with everyone being affected by Storm Sandy.  I hope everyone is safe and sound...

It's always fun to be around little ones during holidays because everything is so footloose and fancy free (c:

We had a very good birthday weekend getting spoiled rotten.

Now mama is ready for a break...oh wait, Halloween isn't actually until Wednesday.

Well, it's a darn good thing I really love this holiday or I might be tempted to pretend it's already over. But since I have a kid in school now, that wouldn't fly either.

Friday's Fancies: Leaves are falling!

Right now, I'm *finally* enjoying some REAL fall weather!!!

Complete with sweater wearing, hot cocoa, and autumn leaves. *sigh* I'm happier than a fashion junkie at a Nordies sale (c: 

And it worked out just peachy that this week's theme was leaves...I mean, really, what are the odds???

In the Bag

So we all know that I fell down on the job and just didn't bother posting anything yesterday, so I'll just avoid that awkward conversation about, m'kay? Ha!

I'm planning that someday when I don't have to constantly carry snacks/drinks/dinosaurs in my purse that I will have a nice handbag. 

I know, I know...there are a bunch of you out there that just power through and somehow manage to keep your designer babies unscathed by little peeps, but I tried it. It didn't work.

So instead of dooming another gorgeous bag to that fate, I'll just drool over the ones that I will someday own. Y'know, the day when the hubster says "Yeah sure, honey, you totally deserve to go and buy a gorgeous handbag. Treat yourself". 

Said no husband. EVER. (c; 

But seriously, these are some absolutely drool worthy bags...that Marc Jacobs bag is a looooooong time fave of mine, I'm still scheming to make her mine!

Flying high

Not many of you guys probably know this, but I'm originally from New Mexico.

Um, okay, Aubrey...that's...well, nice. 

Albuquerque to be exact (like as in the place that Bugs Bunny always forgot to make that darn turn at).

I'm telling you this because it also happens to be the home of the largest hot air balloon festival in the WORLD.

And it's going on *right now* and I'm super excited because next week we get to go see it for the first time since we moved, THREE WHOLE YEARS. (c; 

So I'm going to be Instagramming a whole lotta this next weekend:

Getting the Boot.

Monday, I know we've been through a lot together and you have definitely come through for me on occasion. 

But let's be real here, it's a LOT more frequent that you really *stink*. So I think it's better if we go our separate ways. 

I'm giving you the boot, Monday.

And surprisingly, all but one of these pairs of kickers are pretty affordable...betcha go straight for the pair of Fryes just like I did (c; 

And I also realized that I had a shocking lack of outfits with boots on my Pinterest boards.

Don't worry, I remedied that.
