I had a very different experience last Thursday...and by different I mean different for my blogging world.
I actually met someone in person.
BOMBSHELL, right?
I had the opportunity to meet and interview one of the Artistic Directors for Cirque du Soleil's production Kooza!
Yep. Cirque du Soleil. This stuff:
Can you say AMAZING?
It was so much fun...I got to go to the Ritz-Carlton (which, by the way, I think I was a little under-dressed for) and do this group interview with a couple other bloggers.
We chit chatted about Michael (as in Michael Smith, the Artistic Director) and his job...the fact that he gets to manage 63 artists from 17 (!) different countries, he has been to 27 different countries and 256 different cities, and he absolutely *adores* his ridiculously cool job.
I extra super loved him because he named his favorite place that he's visited was Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (c:
And he had an insanely cool British accent.
Did you know that most of their actors are professional athletes???
Anywho...
They are just here for a short time in the States (they just came from Japan and will be in Europe after) for a super short 4 city tour...Phoenix being the *only* city on this side of the country that they're performing in (June 8th, by the way...)!
I think it's an absolutely amazing thing that they are doing...keeping this art form alive and well and giving *FABULOUS* family entertainment! (c:
Michael said that they are in the business of "making great memories for families". Isn't that beautiful???
I'm definitely hoping that tickets to the show are part of my birthday surprises...hint, hint (c;
Has anyone been to a Cirque du Soliel show or is going to see Kooza???
I want to know what you think!!!
***I was not paid to do this post, I just had a great experience with a great and genuine person that I wanted to share with you all!!!***

Wow amazing! and I have not been to one of their shows.
How fun! I've been to 4! I always tell anyone I know to rush out and go to a show, no matter the cost! It's worth it! Especially when you consider allll of the people involved in a production and their dedication :) I hope you get to go!
Wow! That must have been awesome. What a cool experience
What a cool experience for you! That's awesome.
I love Cirque du Soleil but I've never been able to see one in person. It's definitely on my bucket list though!
OMG those are my most favorite shows IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!! It's like you're living in the most amazing dream the entire time!
Such amazing artists and entertainers. We saw La Reve in Las Vegas last year and I think it is very similar. I so admire the work they all do.
Awesome experience to have! I've seen a few of their shows and visited their school which is fairly near us (Montreal).
There's an awesome special (with Michael Smith) on the foodnetwork about feeding the cast of the show.
What can I say, food is my life C:
(and books Oh! and shoes)
