Friday's Fancies: Wedding Season!

It has been a good week...not like we've had any crazy good news or big happenings...it's just one of those *good* weeks, y'know?

And I tell ya what, I've been craving a night out...the kind where I get to dress up in nice clothes and put on my big girl shoes.

I'm pretty sure a wedding would be a perfect event for that, am I right? A relatively casual summer wedding, preferably outside (but not in PHX, h-to-the-e-l-l no on that!)...and I would wear this and be happy as a little clam:

Isn't that dress just *gorgeous*???

Yellow makes me so happy (c:

As does giveaways, so...if you haven't already, be sure and join in the fun with the $50 Amazon card giveaway going on now!

I'm a Blockhead and a Movie review of Brave!

I'm definitely not a person that you would characterize as "color shy"...I'm positive that I'm just the opposite...a color extrovert???

Regardless, I've been in absolute lust convulsions over this Tibi dress since I spied it on the fabulous Bee:

And bonus, these were my wedding colors...so I'm pretty sure I've liked this combo for *awhile* now (c:

Do you think Santa starts taking requests in June???

And by the way, I got to go take the little kiddos to see Disney/Pixar's new movie, Brave:

Have you heard anything about this movie yet? 'Cause when I went to go see it, I thought it was going to be like the G-rated-and-animated-with-girl-lead version of Braveheart.

Wrong-o.

It's a story about a Scottish princess who is pretty much a normal teenager: she doesn't get along with her mum and wants to make all her own decisions (even if they're silly ones). Then she makes a deal with a witch and turns said mum into a bear (yup) who she has to then save to save the whole kingdom. And her mum.

I just like calling her "mum". (c:

Seeing as it's a Disney movie, I thought it would be fine to take the short people to (they're 5 and 3).

Wrong-o, AGAIN.

The villain in this movie happens to be an uber scary and creepy grizzly bear (including a missing *dead eye*, ew)...my 5 year-old son had to keep taking his 3D glasses off every time it came on because it was too scary. )c:

HOWEVER...The princess' triplet baby brothers are DARN FUNNY and leaving the movie, my little ones were already *begging* me to buy it when it comes out on DVD and to take them to see it another time in the theater. (c:

Overall, it was pretty entertaining (though not my favorite Disney movie by a long shot), Billy Connolly is freakin' hilarious as King Fergus and I will always and forever be smitten with *anything* Emma Thompson touches (she's the Queen in this one), she's always BRILLIANT.

TAKE AWAY POINTS
(cause I know you're totally skimming all this!)

It's a good movie, entertaining for the kiddos (as long as they aren't too young!), but you definitely can skip the 3D unless you're just really into it because I don't think it really adds much in this case!

Happy color-blockin' weekend, people...
