To buy, or not to buy...

This morning, *that* is the question.

So did any of you try to get any of the little gems from the latest Tar-jay debacle?

I mean really, people, TWO CARTLOADS full of Jason Wu???

I only wanted a stupid tee...

But I definitely didn't wish to be caught up in a Missoni-madness-esque situation, so I didn't go until Tuesday...apparently a mistake because they are *ALL* gone...

...ON EBAY )c:

For clearly way more than $22.99 (plus shipping, mind you, adding insult to injury).

So my question to you is...

Should I buy into the madness??? Should I pay a ridiculous markup just so I can get a tee shirt that I fancy???

Or should I shun the whole thing in hopes that the 6,000+ items of Jason Wu for Target are a lesson in manners to those greedy peeps???

It's a dilemma for sure.

I'm conflicted and a little put out.

So I'm calling on my common sense...you all! hehehehe!

What would *you* do???

  1. Hmmm that's a tough one. It's an awful cute t-shirt! I avoided Target and have kept myself from perusing the Jason Wu items so I wouldn't feel remorse. :)

  3. Hi! I went to the Target where I live, and I wasen't impressed with the quality of the cotton shirts. It feels really thin and I didn't purchase it because of that. So, I wouldn't pay much more than the original price. Just my opinion though!

  4. I agree with Virginia. It's cute, but I wouldn't pay much more than its original price. I bet you could find something at Down East (or any of those stores) that's similar or even cuter.

  5. I would wait! Let the madness subside a couple weeks and then go back to eBay! I bet you'll be surprised that a lot of them have been marked back down just to get rid of them.

  6. Don't get that ish lol. Keep going back to Target. I hear girls are bringing stuff back that doesn't fit and so forth...they're not as smart as Ms. eBay.

  7. I ended up buying into the Missoni ebay madness because it was the only way that I could get my hands on any of it in Canada. Love what I got! If you really want it, I say go for it.

  9. Just do what makes you happy. I just don't understand why Target doesn't make more! There is clearly a market.

  10. That is a super cute t-shirt!! I would check out other Target stores to see if they have it. If not (and you can't get it out of your head for 3 straight days) get it! But no more than $30, I would say ;)

    hope that helps!

  11. Wait for sure. I've noticed they have been re-stocking the collection. Also, once people can't sell it on ebay they end up bringing it back to the store (this happened A LOT with Missoni).

  12. My mom taught me to "shop things around" whether physically in your shopping cart or just in your head... the question you ask yourself is "will I miss not having this in 2 weeks or 2 months?" If yes in 2 weeks, not worth it. If yes in 2 months, then probably worth it.

PS... it's a really cute tee.

  13. I would check back at your Target in case of returns from people since it will happen.

  14. I got out in the Madness! I got a cute dress. That T is super cute, I almost got it in white. I would just hold out. One may pop up! What size do you needs? Just in case I spot one.

  15. Skip it....there will always be another cute tee
Besides, will you have to iron the bow Everytime you wash it?

  16. Totally not cool that everything is gone. I had a LIST of cute dresses that I 'needed' next time I got to a Target.

I think that I'd just let it go. There will be another version out really soon.

  17. I've heard all about the craziness that goes with the Jason Wu range this side of the pond!

If there are some pieces that you think will enhance your wardrobe then go all out!

  18. Don't do it! I hate all my Missoni stuff I bought because so many people had the same items. I think you will feel the same way about the Jason Wu. But that being said I hate buyers remorse!!

  19. I've had this dilemma before, but honestly, I wouldn't pay much more than what it was selling for at Target. I am so mad at those people in Florida who bought out the entire JWu at Target collection. Those people are terrible..kind of smart but terrible! xoxo elizabeth

  22. I think it depends on whether or not it really is a true love sort of thing- if you adore it to the moon and back, and the ebay price isn't too ridonk, then I say hell to the yes...if not and it's just one of those really like sort of things, than I say wait.

  23. Haha! That is a cute shirt, but I would wait a little bit! I went to Target yesterday and it was pretty bare...boo! Good luck!

  24. If you want it that bad, get it! You'll regret if you don't. Good luck!

  25. OK, just my humble opinion...it's just overseas mass produced items with Jason Wu for TARGET labels...just FYI, the My Sister's Closet consignment chain is getting the leftovers from the Missoni for Target this week I think. Keep it in perspective...when you see it there you wonder why you wanted it in the first place.

  26. Girl I'm with you... stop the madness Target... or at least stop those from buying the entire store before 7am! I'm glad you at least got something... :) I do really love the blouse you ended up with, sweets! xo

  28. I actually had good luck with Missoni, but even still I was like, I don't even reeeeaallly like this stuff. Or the Target version, I should say. I didn't even bother with the Jason Wu. People are greedy bastards out there and I will not partake. At least for now.
