Brass Lamps

A new obsession of mine: Brass lamps.

But not just any ol' brass lamps, the ones that look like these absolutely lovely little slices of heaven:


Super obsessed with that first one...Hillary Swank's swanky NYC apartment. It's a good thing I like her.

    Those are quite an upgrade from Grandma's version. I found some old brass bookcase lamps in my parents attic. I think I might steal them or, um, ASK for them.

    I love the ones they have at pottery barn, apothecary lamps? The ones that look like they belong on an old movie set...to me anyway.

    Grandma is pretty stylish in this case! Yea! I passed Hilary Swank on the street in NYC once. We kind of looked at each other and I smiled and she smiled back and said hello and we just went along our merry ways. We're subtle like that in NY lol :)

    I have always loved the old style brass lamps. I found a vintage art deco one at an antique mall just like the one currently in Country Living magazine. It's so cute and such a deal!
