I have a favor to ask...and it's a big one.
So earlier this week I told you all about Matthew...since then, this beautiful family has gotten nothing but grim news.
They discovered that the cancer is all over his body, including his bone marrow...and he also has a tumor in his head that is causing him to loose his hearing in his right ear.
We couldn't just stand by and do nothing, so there is going to be an online auction December 7th and every cent is going to go to this sweet family to help them on this long road ahead.
I'm asking that if you have anything you would like to donate to the auction, or know anyone that would like to donate something, please email Team Matthew so we can make this endeavor as helpful as possible. We will pay any shipping costs for items donated as well.
Or if you want to participate in the auction, please also feel free! It will have some great stuff (c:
Or if you would like to help spread the word of the auction and Matthew's story, that would be awesome as well (c:
I know this is a lot to ask...especially at this time of year...but I couldn't imagine if this was my son and I want to do everything in my power to help.
Thanks everyone for the love and support, it is greatly appreciated, more than you know!
My heart is breaking for this family. Keeping them in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteHow devastatingly heartbreaking for this family. I can't even begin to imagine what they must be feeling right now. They're definitely in my thoughts each day.
ReplyDeleteSo awesome that you are doing this! It's friends like you that make the hard times easier to get through cause there is nothing worse then feeling like your going it alone.
ReplyDeleteI could donate some super cute felt flowers, don't know if that's what your looking for? I will have to think on it but nothing else comes to mind at the moment. And I will post the info for the auction on my blog.
I'm so sorry to hear this news. definitely makes you reevaluate a lot of things in life.
ReplyDeleteI just tweeted and blogged your post. I will donate as well. I am just so sorry to hear this. Sending prayers and love.
ReplyDeleteAmy R.
My heart aches for them. I'm a true believer in the power of prayer and will be praying for better news to come their way. Thanks for sharing their story.
ReplyDeletePraying for this family right now...I hope your auction turns out great.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to get an email sent out to Team Matthew today, I'd like to donate a crib sheet from Baby Nest if that would be ok? Continued prayers will be sent from us as well.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Aubrey.....since you posted about this little boy and his family last week he has been on my mind and in my prayers. I am just numb from this news, I could not even imagine if this were my child. I will continue to pray. I def want to help. Let me see what I could donate to the auction. Such sad sad news....really puts everything into perspective, fast.
ReplyDeleteDef count me in for helping out in whatever way I can.
