I didn't think that I would be a big fan of this long lumbar look...but darn it if it hasn't grown on me (just like skinny jeans and short boots, never thought I would love those either (c; )!

And aren't Carrie's (from the fantastic Hazardous Design) new pillows just absolutely lovely???
They were the ones that got me thinkin' about these guys...I might just be a convert to the less is more way of thought.
HA!
Let's not get carried away now (c:
I like the pillows in that last pic! Loving that fabric -it would be good on anything!
ReplyDeleteI am a lumbar pillow fan, you are right..it is a less look. Great examples, love the last one!
ReplyDeleteLumbar pillows. Yes.
ReplyDeleteSkinny jeans. Sure.
Short boots. Not yet.
I love this look, simple an elegant! I love the bright floral pillows in the first picture!
ReplyDeleteI kind of like it, and I think those pillows are lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou know what, I really like these. The only downside I can think of is that you wouldn't really lay on them. But chances are you'd have them custom made, and then do you really want your husband or kids laying on them anyway? ;-) Be a convert! These are beautiful.

It's a very sleek look and I love it! I kinda want one for the living room but that's kinda low on the priority list just now. My husband is definitely on the less is more. I would have throw pillows EVERYWHERE.
ReplyDeleteJenny's orangie pillows make me insane- they are SO gorgeous and I really think they should be mine;) Love this look.
ReplyDeleteIf there was ever a post that could start converting me to a less is more philosophy with pillows this may be it. I love the long lumber look in front of other throw pillows. I don't know if I'm ready for just long and lean yet, but they sure do look good on others' couches :)
ReplyDeleteLumbar pillows are wonderfully comfortable and I like the style..they look good and are just perfect for when you need that extra lumbar support.
ReplyDeleteI like them too!!! They're different and interesting! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan. They are so chic and tailored without being overdone. Love Carrie's sofa and the fabric on her pillows!
ReplyDeleteHmm...my husband would be thrilled by not having a mountain of pillows to constantly move.
ReplyDeleteI do love a good bolster/lumbar :)
ReplyDeleteI love having a long lumbar pillow in the bed. It helps with my stacks of pillows problem. I havent ventured to having them on the couch yet. I dont think they would make very good tables (because I always eat on the couch with a pillow on my lap).
ReplyDeleteI like them...especially in a gorgeous, statement fabric. If your only going to have several pillows, might as well go for the gusto! Also, less pillows for the kids to throw on the ground is alwas a positive!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree...it's easy to get carried away...but sometimes and often a lot of the time less is more! xo
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure about these either but you may have convinced me!
ReplyDeletei also love the last picture! that second picture- i don't know.... it has me wondering where on earth i would actually SIT on that couch- there is no room with all the pillows.
ReplyDeleteThis is so timely. Bought a lumbar pillow for little man's room a year ago . . never used it. Too late to return. Maybe I will recover the bad bow and plop it down on my couch. Things that make you say, "Hmmmm."
ReplyDeleteAubrey, you're a doll. Thanks so much for the feature and for your sweet comments.
ReplyDeleteObviously, you know what I think... be a convert :)
Totally agree they were not my thing at first but the more I see them the more I love them! They kind of remind me of my pregnancy body pillow, another added bonus you can snuggle them when knocked up1
ReplyDeleteI like the look of this, but I don't think it would be practical for the way I use my sofa. I like to sit with pillows in my lap, while my husband prefers to show them all in the corner :)
ReplyDeletei can't wait til we can get a new couch! well "new". like from Craigslist or whatever, we're supah classy over here ;)
