Rain, rain...where are you?!?

I was needing a little pick me up today...some of those inspirational quotes...and some rain (c:

If you are singing the Sesame Street song "one of these things is not like the other..." right now, it's probably because you don't feel quite the same about rain as I do.

There is something almost magical about a great chilly, gray, rainy day....and plus I love these quotes and all the rainy inspiration today...

Plus, I have a strange obsession with Wellies...




Something about being able to have so much fun with color and pattern and a boot you can stomp in a puddle with and not be worried about ruining them...

I would just like to say that I am sorry that I posted this on a day when people are supposed to be getting hit with rain from hurricane Irene! I was just thinking about soothing and calming rains...y'all are in my thoughts and prayers! )c:

    I like this post! I love a good thunderstorm while snuggled up on the couch or sitting on a covered porch. I just love the sound of it!

    I love rain on Sunday's because it's the perfect excuse to watch movies and do nothing. It also seems to make baking even more fun. If I do have to go outside I always rock my hunter boots. I do not however like thunderstorms, mainly because my dog shakes like a leaf.

    OOh, I loong for rainy days again. We don't get nearly enough here in NM. Some day's there is simply nothing better than a cool, dreary day, I love to sit in my living room window and watch it fall.

    So cute. That party idea is unreal. So funny, as I was reading I was thinking that I like to snuggle in the rain and besides that it's all about the boots. And then you hit us with those beauties. I think I need the boots with the bows in the back. Adorable.

    I thought it just might rain here today until the sun just came out in the last 10 minutes. I grew up on the coast and I love the rain. The sound of the rain on the roof at night is probably the most comforting sound I can imagine. And I love rubber boots too. Kind of adore the red ones with the bows you posted. We don't get a lot of rain here, but when we do, I break out my Hunter/Jimmy Choo collab boots in a navy faux croc. Love them, and I match my gym floors, lol.

    I like the rain too. It doesn't rain that often, so when it does, it almost feels like a treat. I love a rainy lazy day. Too bad my hair frizzes up like crazy in the rain. Not a cute look.

    I love the first quote about dancing in the rain! That second photo of the dreamy table in the rain is beautiful image! I wonder if it was planned that way, of a photo shoot interrupted by the rain and then embraced?

    I love rainy sunday afternoons. It is so nice to have an excuse to stay inside all curled up on the couch with a book and a glass of wine.
    However, every other day of the week needs to be sunny and warm :)

    Love this post about the rain. I'm not usually a big fan of rain unless it's a super dramatic thunderstorm, however, I am working on seeing the positive. Your post is a good reminder to love and appreciate rain. It is a beautiful thing.

    I completely understand... right now I'm sitting on my chaise looking out the window at pre-Irene rain, which is the relatively calm good kind. Although I'll probably be singing a different tune in a few hours.
