I think I have a new design boyfriend.
No, *definitely* not replacing Jonathan, that's just crazy talk!
But no reason I can't have more than one boyfriend, right? (c:
Jamie Drake:
Adorable, isn't he?
And you gotta love a man in a red blazer!
He is as much in love with color as I am and he does it oh-so-well!
I'm sure you've run across his work before, no?
What do you think? Is he your new design boyfriend or do you already have another bf that you're being faithful to, hmmm?
Wow, that makes it sound a lot dirtier than it is...
And I have Kelly at Jax Does Design to thank for introducing me to the man with the color plan, Thanks Kelly!

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! :-) I love Jamie Drake - not only is he an amazing designer, he's also a really nice guy. I interviewed him a couple of years ago over at my old blog, DesignTies. You can check it out here if you're interested:

ReplyDeleteFor some reason most of my favorite designers are girls, so I guess I have more girlfriends. I do adore Brad Ford, though.
I fell in love with his designs a few years ago while I was watching Homes Across America. I love that show so much and have been watching reruns. Every time I saw his beautiful home, I would always click pause so I can admire his home. My favorite rooms of his is his purple living room and that yellow bedroom. You have both my favorites in your collection of images, thanks, gal! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!

Thank you! I've been wanting to turn one of our guest rooms purple and I'm sure these examples will convince my husband :) And, they give me more confidence in purples.
ReplyDeleteEeek! I love the yellow and zebra room. These are all amazing. Who knew grape curtains could be so amazing!
