Once upon a time, there was a magical and adorable place called Sprinkles.
It had all sorts of yummies that looked like this: (and unfortunately for mommy, also has a glass case that could be easily reached around to stick little fingers into cupcakes we hadn't paid for yet. Hypothetically.)
In this wonderful land of frosted goodness, we got granted not just *three* wishes, but *FOUR*...well, technically we paid for them, but that ruins the fairy tale, now doesn't it???
The four wishes were named Chocolate Marshmallow, Coconut, Lemon Blueberry, and Red Velvet.
They were AMAZING...and got gobbled all up by little cupcake fiends that ended up looking like this:
THE END.
Apparently, they have stores that are *way* more adorable inside than the one we went to, but man-oh-man...wear your elastic pants to that place. There is definitely a very good reason they are so popular.
I was definitely underwhelmed by the presentation of the cupcakes, because let's face it, there are *way* more adorable cupcakes out there.
But they *more* than make up for it in the taste and frosting department. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend dropping in for a spell, you won't regret it...well, you might regret the 10lbs...(c: Or the fact that 4 cupcakes will set you back about fifteen smackaroos...a little steep for me!
Oh, except don't get the the chocolate marshmallow, it reminded me almost *exactly* of a hostess cupcake...but the Red Velvet is DIVINE...and I don't even like Red Velvet!!!
BTW, if you aren't near a Sprinkles and feel like treating yourself to sumpin' pretty, Mackenzie Pages is giving away this little lovely:
Hey, I think luck is pretty strong at that place...plus you should definitely stick around and browse for a bit because she has some *FANGORGEOUS* eye candy there...(that's for my little man, the word he made up (c:)

ReplyDeleteOh they look tasty alright!! And that zebra wallpaper is one of my favourites...totally off topic I understand but I lurve it!!
ReplyDeleteAubrey, is that the one in Scottsdale? I live there in the winter and I love that store! I don't even like cupcakes usually, but I love their fruit ones and I like that it's all about FLAVOR and not about SIZE. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteFun cupcake story :-) There's just something so appealing about cupcakes - maybe it's because you actually get a to eat a whole little cake of your own without having to cut it into pieces or share it :-)
ReplyDeleteYour ruining my diet smiet!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm craving a cupcake... thank you very much!

Divine. My friend recently got me into nutella spread in a croissant, pressed by a panini press, sprinkled with powdered sugar and topped with strawberries. Holy 300 calories. So worth it while you eat, but then you feel like a heffer for eating two. But then you make yourself feel better by eating another the next day. Now I want one. You must try it.
ReplyDeleteDon't have a panini press? Put it in a skillet.
My oh my, could your post be any more tempting??? I am hungryyyyy....for a cupcake, obvi ;)
