I am DEVASTATED.
I found this little lovely at my local Goodwill...it's just *begging* for a makeover, isn't it???
All that awesome detailing...it was super sturdy and *heavy*...and those pulls are just *RAD*.
But being the ninny head that I am, I decided I better think on it, I mean 20 bucks is a lot of money in a thrift store, right?
Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
Of course when I decided the next day that I couldn't live without it, it was looooong gone.
And this is my ode to the one that got away.
I think we have all learned a valuable lesson:
DON'T THINK, JUST BUY THE DARN THING!!!
And...you might be wondering, DID I GO TO THE WRONG BLOG???
Nope.
Just some fabulous changes going on around here (c:
More on that on Monday!!!
Yes this exact thing happened to me too one time, now I have learned my lesson, when in love buy it! I notice the pretty new design of your blog, so chic!

ReplyDeletethe perils of restraint...that happens to me but usually involving handbags in vintage stores. your new header looks great!
ReplyDeleteYaaay! Love the new design!! It looks very posh and delightful! ;)
ReplyDeleteand I over think buying things too and always end up wanting it later, only to come back to the store with dread in my face when I find out it's gone! booooo!
Digging the new look. If it makes you feel any better I still think about this three tier chrome and glass shelf unit I passed up almost a year ago. It was perfect.
ReplyDelete"see" you tomorrow!
Yep, share your pain! Something else equally fabulous (or better) will come along! Love love love the new look!
ReplyDeleteBummer!! I guess it wasn't meant to be, although it would have been a great piece to revamp! Love the new BLOG look!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I have done this so, so many times! Chairs, furniture, fabric, you name it. I think I'm slowly learning though...
ReplyDeleteI have a rule that I can never walk away from something in a secondhand store that I love because it is likely to disappear very quickly if I stop to think about it for a second. I figure even if I don't end up using it, I can give it to someone who will!
ReplyDeleteGah -- I hate it when that happens! But you will find something even better next time!
ReplyDeleteOh man! Bummer! That looks like it was a great steal...
ReplyDeleteOh man! Whenever I have non-buyers remorse (which is totally worse that normal buyers remorse) I convince myself the piece was haunted. It makes everything a little better. :)
