Well, that is not the case in my library...a sleek, stylish, and comfy room where I could read my classics to my little heart's content...isn't there just something inherently cool and stylish about a library.
I want one.
Particularly an awesome rainbow color coded one.
I have really been wanting to read an especially good book...I was thinking about this one:
Or maybe this one:
Have you read anything that you just thought was the *best* lately??? I'm open to suggestions...(c:
I liked Water for Elephants and recently finished The Help- I think Tina Fey is hilarious and would love to read her book - along the "funny" vein are any of Chelsea Handler's bks.
ReplyDelete(Love your blog, too:)
I want a rainbow library!! And I want that chandelier in the 2nd to last picture (7th picture from the top)!! It’s so purdy!! Hope you’re having a good day!

This is awesome! What a simple concept! I have never thought about organizing them by color! So cool!
ReplyDeleteLove those!!! And both of those books are on my list too-- I heard Bossypants its awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love a rainbow bookcase. If only I didn't live in a tiny house I would have some major built-in book cases put in and fill them with books arranged by the rainbow. Loved Water for Elephants, you should def read. I heard Tina Fey's book was hillarious though.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't trade my library for anything. It says so much about a person. Right now I have "Balenciaga and Spain" on my nightstand. It's not about fashion, it's about art, tradition, culture, an amazing book and art album. Ada
ReplyDeleteDreamy. We always talk about having a library someday! Maybe one that isn't just filled with Dr. Seuss and Pinkalicious.
ReplyDeleteI really like the libraries in the last two photos. I am yet to read "Water for Elephants". I has been on my to-read list for the past year yet I always find something else to read.
ReplyDeleteI would love a giant rainbow library, unfortunately I don't think the Boy would be on board. I tried organizing our small bookshelf by color and he got annoyed because he couldn't find anything, haha. Definitely read Water for Elephants. Also, Little Bee is good, but tough and the Glass Castle too.
ReplyDeleteHello Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI dream of an actual library one day! Right now, 2 IKEA Billys in the office will have to suffice! That 2nd image is my fave. I LOVVVVVE.
And DITTO!! How did I not know about your fab blog?!
Good luck in my Shabby Apple Giveaway!!!
xoxo,
Ms. Bright
I love awesome libraries! My mom read Tina Fey's book recently and really enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteI adore bookcases and library rooms. That second picture is amazing with the colorful day bed! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteHaving a floor to ceiling bookcase is a dream! The Help was amazing if you haven't read that!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a reading room and especially one as lovely as the photo on top. It looks so comfy and inviting!
ReplyDeleteI'm re-reading my favorite book "Princess" by Jean Sasson. It gives a window into the life of a Saudi princess and what women experience in fundimentalist areas of the middle east. I can't put it down.
ReplyDeleteA family I used to babysit for had the most fabulous library with huge leather couches and a fireplace! Ever since I've wanted one in my dream home!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how one person can have so many books! Maybe it's just because I love getting rid of things, so I don't hang onto them after I'm finished reading. And books that make a rainbow...I can't even imagine! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI started reading Water for Elephants, but then decided to read the last of the Harry Potter books. It's been the perfect weather here for reading.
ReplyDeleteStarted Water for Elephants and hated it! I'm reading the Count of Monte Cristo now. It's excellent! Super long, but since I "read" all my books on my ipod, it's great. And makes me totally in the mood for the movie again. I love the idea of a rainbow library. Super fun!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like curling up with a good book in a cozy space, especially one with floor to ceiling bookshelves!
ReplyDeleteI just finished Bossypants and LOVED it! Another good one I just read that will really suck you in: Bright Before Us, by Katie Arnold-Ratliff :)
These libraries are sure spiffy!! Wouldn't mind having my own collection of books to display in such a fashionable way!
ReplyDeleteI love all 5 of the Emily Giffin books...(Something Borrowed, Heart of the Matter..etc)
I color coded my small bookshelf after I saw that Megan (HWH) did it! Love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat images, now I just have to straighten my bookshelves!
ReplyDeleteLil Bee was an entrancing book. By Chris Cleave

I also love color coded bookshelves!! Such an awesome way to display color!
