There were so many amazing rooms that were part of the Roomspiration series...and Caycee from Hanging with the Hewitts had one of my very favorites! I couldn't *wait* to see more of her lovely home and obviously, she didn't disappoint! I'm happy to present the lovely Caycee for today's installment of "How to make your home your own"!
I am still blushing that my little home is being featured on the ever so lovely All Things Bright and Beautiful! Thanks for having me Miss Aubrey I am so excited to be here!
Our home was custom built, but unfortunately not for us. So when we came in and bought the home all had been done.(They were actually two days away from being finished). With out making large changes and breaking the bank I decided a little paint and a few personal touches and we would make this house OUR home!
Come on in!
I will start with the room we are in the most, our upstairs "living room"
I know this is a lot of white with a 3year old but no worries that couch is a slipcover :)
This is the bathroom that is shared by the guest bedroom and our soon to be baby girls nursery! Can you tell I love some white! I promise there is color to come!
This guest room would probably have to be my favorite room in our house! It was a labor of love, but so worth it! All of the furniture was mine as a child that the hubs and I sanded and repainted!
While were talking bed rooms here is our little monkeys "big boy room"
I knew I wanted twin beds and big monograms with still being boyish..... mission accomplished!
You may be wondering where all my child's toys are? His playroom/ loft right off his room! Best decision we ever made, I am a sucker for a bedroom with no toys just a place to sleep and relax. So here is where all the art crafting, truck racing, and movie watching goes on.
Moving on downstairs, whew I hope I am not boring you guys yet!
My favorite in this room would have to be my cowhide rug!(and the sweet pictures of my baby of course).
The place the husband and I unwind......
Dinner is served.
I love a few things in this room the antique mahogany table we scored on craigslist, my first abstract painting, and the modern chandelier.
Last but not least a place to do the laundry! If you hate doing laundry as much as I do I know you will appreciate the chandy and the rug, it makes folding a little more bearable!
Bless your sweet hearts if you made it this far. Thanks again Aubrey for having me over to share our home! xoxo Caycee
I just think that she is just so adorable and I love everything about her home...in fact, I'm pretty sure I would move in to that guest room tomorrow if she asked me...so Caycee, how 'bout it?!? (c:

Such a beautiful home! I love all the white with the pops of yellow. And the laundry room is so pretty! It would definitely make laundry much more fun :)
Caycees home is even more beautiful in person! Glad you showcased it!
Beautiful home! I can see why Caycee loves the guest room so much. How lucky to have such nice looking childhood furniture!
What a gorgeous home she has! Her guest room is absolute perfection!
Hope you're having a great week, love! xoxo
Oh my goodness...every room is awesome! Love the kids' room and playroom.
One of the best way to keep furniture neat and clean is to use slipover. Especially when you have kids at home. You have done that very well. I especially like the cover you gave for the dining chair.
