Or some gorgeous headboards...you can change the whole feel of a room with just one fabulous headboard! I'm especially partial (like the rest of the known universe) to upholstered headboards right now...
However, since a gorgeous new headboard wasn't in the budget and we had this one just hanging around...
(loving the sideways picture...yep I was too lazy to figure out my stupid computer...)
Horrible, isn't it???
And a can of high gloss gray later...
A big more liveable, don't you think?
Until I can get my upholstered headboard.

The headboard looks great! I love the gray and yellow combo. I too am lusting for an upholstered headboard. Kicking myself for not buying the Nate Berkus one on HSN awhile back.
Looks lovely...a coat of grey makes the world better!
So many bright and fun options! I think it is time to re-do ours:D
Have a lovely day!
Livable??? That is awesome. Are you kidding me? Wow. What a difference paint can make. I love it.
Yay! Looks great! We are faking a headboard at the moment with a piece of "art".

It looks amazing!
Great inspiration pics and great job on your own headboard! Love the yellow and gray.
Nice Work! I am attempting to prep the downstairs bedroom for family that will be visiting in a few weeks. I had planned to embark upon the DIY upholstered headboard with nail-head trim...but after seeing how yours turned out with just a bit of spray paint, I may opt for something like yours :)
Oh its great now!! High Fives for you.
You can rock the upholstered look someday, but for now this is giving you plenty of style.
PS- i had an upholstered headboard and sold it... now I'm rocking none and love it. (I know, I'm weird!)
I know you want the upholstered someday, but I LOVE your temporary gray one. It's beautiful! I have gray and yellow bedding too!
Its a big differance seeing the before and after you did a good job :) And just a thought...If you want to get some upholsteredness into your headboard you could put some in where you took out the metal vine thing out. Maybe in a yellow? Tufted? You could have Josh cut you a board to fit into that spot and then cover with padding of your choice then fabric and use a stable gun...anyway it looked really good at your house and am even more impressed now that I have seen the before shot.
